Video - Hang in there twinnies Both twins were diagnosed with jaundice today . The levels were high 210 . They are now under intense phototherapy at the nursery . Lets hope its just physiological jaundice. Jaundice or yellowish discoloration of the skin can occur as early as 48 hours after birth which may last for a week or two . It happens because of the breakdown of Red Blood Cells and liver immaturity. Babies will be dehydrated, lethargic and sleeps most of the time . Its important to hydrate them , continue breastfeeding if possible and exposure to morning sunlight or phototherapy . Daily blood test is necessary to see whether its increasing or decreasing trend . That means daily pricks on the skin - kesian pulak .. and I'm feeling the pain each time. Hang in there buddies . Daddy is always there by your bedside . InsyaAllah things will get better ...
